David DeFelice

Founder & Owner

David was born and wintered in Providence, RI and summered in VT at a well-known summer camp where his parents met and worked. It was a wonderful mix of city and country upbringing.

His parents skipped a generation in the stone world, as his grandfather was a Rock of Ages quarryman. He grew up in the restaurant business until starting a monument design company in 1986. Four years later, Northfield Granite & Marble Company was born to design, sell and install monuments. About 18 years ago, the business diversified to what has now become the majority of the work today – corporate furniture.

Today, life is a busy mix of work and play. His biggest passion is spending time with his family – including eight grandchildren – mostly on the water or outdoors.
